Cruising Panama's Canal by my friends Sunny and Al Lockwood is an entertaining and informative travel book. In July, 2012, the Lockwoods were involved in a car wreck when a driver who was texting crashed into their car. As Sunny says, this accident "brought home to us how quickly the lovely life we share could end" and the realization that it was time to start doing the things they talked about doing "someday." A cruise through the Panama Canal topped their bucket list and, as they are both writers, they decided to write about their cruise. The couple chose Holland America's MS Zuiderdam cruise from San Francisco to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and a book with very specific information about cruises and also a true sense of fun resulted.
I was fortunate in reading an early draft of Cruising Panama's Canal and it convinced me to put taking a cruise on my own bucket list. This charming book is available in both Kindle and paperback editions on Amazon.
